Addition to the Management Board of B. Braun: Dr. Stefan Ruppert to Head Human Resources and Legal Divisions
The Supervisory Boards of B. Braun SE and B. Braun Melsungen AG appointed Dr. Stefan Ruppert as Deputy Member of the Management Board responsible for the Human Resources and Legal Divisions as well as to Director of Labor Relations (“Arbeitsdirektor”), effective as of April 1, 2020.
Dr. Ruppert will be assuming these responsibilities from Mrs. Anna Maria Braun, who was managing these divisions in addition to her responsibilities as Chief Executive Officer and for the Asian Pacific Region of B. Braun.
“We are very pleased, that these divisions, and particularly the Human Resources Division, which is so very important for the success of our businesses, will hold a designated Position on our Management Board again. Our employees are the foundation of our success” said CEO Anna Maria Braun.
Dr. Ruppert (48) studied law, politics and history at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany, where he received his doctorate and PhD degrees as well. He also worked for the Max Planck Institute for European Law History during his doctorate studies and as a researcher, while also serving as a fellow at the German Constitutional Court.
From 2009 through 2013 Dr. Ruppert was a Member of the Deutsche Bundestag, to which he returned to in 2017 as Parliamentarial Manager of the FDP Party with responsibility for human resources, caucus and legal matters.
Dr. Ruppert has been working with the B. Braun Group since 2014, from 2015 through 2017 as a Member of the Management Team of B. Braun Holding GmbH & Co KG in addition to his responsibility as Deputy General Counsel for the B. Braun Group’s legal team. Dr. Ruppert also serves on the Supervisory Boards of several B. Braun Group companies.
Dr. Ruppert is married and has two children.
